Let The Missions Begin. . .

With 6 Holman brothers, there will be many adventures for all of the ‘Elder Holmans’. As the only non-elder, I have taken on the responsibility to pass along the stories of their success in serving the Lord and spreading the gospel throughout the world, as well as some random and exciting tid-bits about what the mission is really like.

The first missionary of the family is Elder Skyler Holman! As the family sat around in anticipation for where our eldest brother would be called to serve, we just didn’t know what to expect. And so, as most events in the Holman household end up, there was much yelling, jumping up and down, singing and pure mayhem!

As Skyler read the words, “called to serve in the Des Moines Iowa, Spanish speaking mission” the little kids (and some of the big kids) ran for the maps. . . state side or not, where the heck is Des Moines?

Now that we know where he is going, all that is left is getting him there. His farewell (or non-farewell) will be held June 21 in our ward building on 18th Ave. at 10:50. Hope to see you there!
