A little sick... July 9th

What it do Holman clan!!

haha Just finished reading all of your guys emails thanks so much for writing me!! It sounds like you all are having the time of your life, and I’m so jealous of all the fun things you guys have been up to, after seeing all the pics of Powell and cali, and stars b-day!!!! ahhh i wish i could just come home for a p-day to hug ya’ all and then come right back to Argentina to get to work :) haha so I’m writing a little bit later today, cuz its some holiday or something for argentines, so all the cibers were closed in the country....but me and my comp found one that’s open, but i got to write quick, cuz they´re closing for nap time in 30 minutes!!!

haha so ill give you a quick run down on my week! Last Monday, me my comp and the zone traveled by train to place called adrogay mall to go bowling for our p-day! It was awesome, except it made me feel pretty truncky! The mall was a super nice mall, it even had a McDonalds! haha but after bowling me and my comp and two other elders went to a burger joint that looked really good for lunch, and it was probably the worst decision i´ve made yet in Argentina cuz both me and my comp and the other elders got food poisoning....hahaha yep so all of Tuesday we spent back in the cold pench with crap coming out both ends...hahha I’d puke one second, and then when i thought it was over i got frecken diarrhea!! It was pretty funny cuz id go in the baño for about half an hour and then the second i got out my comp would run in, and we did this non stop for all of Tuesday....haha i don’t think that toilet has ever been used so much in one day, i cant wait to see our water bill! haha

Later that day me and my comp have been teaching this 16 year old girl named B quite a bit and we had an appointment for that night, so we called the plumber and got it together enough to head out and teach for an hour! We had a really good lesson! She has been praying reading and doing everything that we have been asking her to do! So pretty much she´s golden! I committed her to be baptized on the 21st and she said yes!! woot woo!!! Wednesday was the forth of July, and it was probably one of the coldest days I’ve experienced here in Argentina!  Just to put it into perspective for all you Holman boys, i took a wiz and it was steaming out of the toilet, haha that’s how cold it was!! oh and did i mention it was raining too?? haha happy fourth :) so that morning it was so cold that me and my comp broke out the alex boye Christmas cd and listened to Christmas music in July, to celebrate the cold and 4th! The 4th was a pretty sad day! We just walked around in the pouring rain, and nobody let us in....i was feeling pretty trunky cuz towards the end of the day walking around in the rain i could only think about the sugar house firework show and how everyone was probably having a grand old time, as i walked around in the rain, but i prayed a lot and kept on walking, nobody ever let us in that day....and later that night i did laundry in a sink to celebrate my happy fourth :) Jueves was pretty much a repeat for miércoles except on miércoles i went on intercambio (exchanges) con elder V! He’s a super good missionary that goes home in a week back to Chile!! haha i was in the area of triangulo, and pretty much in this area its just dirt roads all over the place!!! And it was raining on us so i just walked around in the mud with him all day...haha and not a soul let us in! One lady did talk to us for about 30 minutes but it was out on her porch so that was kinda a cold day!! haha but im starting to find out that whenever you have a baptism planned for the end of the week, the weeks are a little bit harder, a little bit colder, a little bit more wet, and a little bit longer, but they are always worth it! 10 year old N was baptized this last Saturday by a recently returned missionary in our ward, we have been teaching N for as long as i have been in Argentina, and his dad was a recent convert and we told him that it was Ns turn to be a convert! haha so we baptized him on Saturday and gave him the holy ghost on Sunday! it was an awesome experience and made the long week definitely worth it!!! So yeah! That’s me and my week :) haha doesn’t quite compare with your powell trips or skys newport fun!! But i was pretty pumped :)

This week like last week i learned to always turn to Christ with our struggles and trials. k there closing this place down for napppy time so I’m out!!! love you all! Pumped to see you dad! I’ll try and email you my list of things really quick if they don’t kick me out right now! love you all! peace! oh and mom and brock got your letters that were forwarded from washington! loved them!
