The Waters back on... July 30th

hey all!!!!

Hows the holman fam doing! So, first things first thanks for the emails mom, dad, and star, and just so you know there´s no need to call my president about me peeing my pants....hahah yes it happened exactly how i told you it did....but i think embarrassingly enough, i had just peed my pants...i don’t have an infection...at least i don’t think i do...all i know is one second i didn´t have to pee and within minutes, it was the worst i´ve ever had to pee!!! We were walking to the church for me to go, when literally i was just holding it for all i was worth and it just happened! I peed! hahah!! i know its really embarrassing. i was pretty worried about it at first, but i thought I’d watch it and see if it happened again and it didn’t, so don’t worry about it! But i do appreciate everyone being so worried about me! It’s nice to know that I’m loved! If anything weird happens to me, ill call my mission mom, i promise, there is no need to worry ;)

Haha so in other news, now that the world is worried about my health, i had a pretty good week. Monday me and my comp were still traveling to the church each time we had to go to the bathroom cuz the water was still out, it was about a 20 minute walk each time, so it started to become really annoying when we each had to go.

The whole district came over to eat lunch at our place without telling us, and so when they came over to our place and found out there was no water to cook things, we just all ordered pizza and had a fun laid back p-day. On Tuesday we had an awesome lesson with Belen. She´s scheduled to be baptized this week, and she’s totally ready, its been so much fun watching her make huge changes in her life, and how living the gospel has completely changed the way she looks...she just seems happier, and she just has a glow in her eye, I’m super pumped for her! Later that night the water finally came back on in our pench, so me and my comp got to take a shower! haha the water was like black when it first came out of the faucet...and it had a bunch of sand in it too...and after we let it run for a bit it cleared up. haha but after i had washed myself with it, it was black again, i had so much dirt all over my hands and face, it was pretty crazy! Thursday me and my comp had another killer lesson with Lorena.  We´ve been teaching her in a members house in our ward, but Lornea lives out of our area in a place called cilmes, so were probably gonna have to give her over to some other elders :( but it has been a blast teaching her. She told us she has a hunger to learn all she can about the church, and when we have lessons with her, the spirit is super strong. I can tell that god has been preparing her for a long time.

On Friday, me and my comp had a pretty rough day, we had gotten a lot of rejection, and we had just walked all around, but towards the end of the night we went and visited a new hermana in our ward, she had just moved from Paraguay. When we went in the home she was so nice to us, had us take off our coats, and she gave us crackers and juice...haha then she introduced us to her husband, and both his parents, and her daughter. She is the only member in her family...so they all sat down around the table and listened to our message of Jesus Christ. They were all so nice, and they told us that there door is open for us any time we want to come back. The whole family had grown up catholic, but recently they have all really been doubting their church. I felt that we had come right when they needed us to, and we taught them about how the gospel and how it has been restored today. They loved the message, and cant wait for us to come back.
So there’s some of the highlights of my week. haha Haven´t had a whole lot of new things but the lord is definitely blessing me and my comp.

One thing that is always super amazing for me to watch is how the gospel of Christ transforms people. We all can have this transformation in our life as long as we are willing to cast our nets and follow Christ. That means that we need to constantly be seeking Christ each and every day, and how we can do this is by reading from the Scriptures and praying about them to know if they are true and how we can apply them in our lives daily. When we do this and ask with real intent with faith in Christ, the Holy Ghost will testify to us that the scriptures are true, and how we can follow our savior. Once we have received a firm conviction, temptation will lose its power, and the path that Christ wants us to take in life will be clear. I love you all and I’m so grateful to have such a killer family. AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROCK!!! i love you man! i hope you have a good 16th! Do you think you´ll get a car??? haha, probably not, but if it will make you happy ill pray you can get that eagle award so you can buy a car later!!! haha love you all! Thanks again for the emails, the blog posts, and so on! You´re all the best!!!!! And as always i pray for each one of you by name cada día!

love you all!
