Temple & Transfers Aug 27th

Hey Fam!

Well, another week has flown by here in Buenos Aires. It sounds like all of you are up to fun with school starting to surgery, to appraising the house, to driving to California... i don’t know about you but those are all the things I’d be doing on the weekend if i was back home ;) hahaha!
This was another fun filled week, full of temple trips, preaching, and teaching, to sharing the gospel with everyone that i see! haha

So this last Monday, our ward of Don Orione bounced out to the temple! It was super fun cuz we all hopped on a bus and we went around and picked everyone up at their house, and headed off to the temple...it was about an hour bus drive for us, and once we got there we hoped in the line of 13,000 people...yep! In one day in the open house we had 13,000 people go through the temple, it was awesome! But while we waited in line it started to rain on us, so i was pretty pumped when we made it inside the temple. Once we got in, i could instantly feel such a warm and good spirit, not even dedicated you can know that it’s the lords house, because of the spirit that’s there. It was super fun going through the temple after it was all put together, cuz when i went the first time, we were still hanging pictures and moving furniture. But when i got to the celestial room i felt an overwhelming feeling of the spirit. And i wasn´t the only one to feel it. After going through the temple i was left with a lack for words in my mouth, and only had a calm peaceful feeling that i had just been in Gods house. It was super cool.

This week we also had zone conference. It was super fun to see lots of old and new faces at the meeting. I learned a ton, there were lots of cool things that president trained us on...its super hard to catch everything though because the whole meeting is in Spanish. But i learned a lot about how i should conduct my missionary work, and how i can better help people to come to know Christ. So many people are hurt or harmed from their past, and they think that there is no way to get rid of the burdens they often carry around...so they run, they run from their past...haha and then our president totally showed us a clip from lion king, where Simba has been running from his past and finally decides to change his life by no longer running from his past, and facing reality. Well in a sense...this is what i get to do as a missionary. So many people are running from their past, they run from all their burdens & mistakes, and so on, and as a missionary, i can help them to find for themselves how to stop running, to turn and face their past, and to find peace in their life now through Christ. Christ can help us through all of our hardest moments, and he can relieve us from all of our past, and we can eventually find peace through him! haha so yep, i learned a lot about how i can better help people with this message of Christ. haha this is just a side note...but remember those videos of me when i was like 4 wearing nothing but underwear singing lion king, and sucking on  my big toe...good times...if i get the chance ill have to do that on my p-day today.

So later this week we also had transfers!!!!!!! On Saturday night we get the call that determines the next 6 weeks of our lives and who were gonna be living with too...i was sure i was gonna get a Latin, which i was pretty excited for, cuz i wanna learn Spanish a lot quicker, and with a  Latin, your forced to learn Spanish, cuz that’s the only way you can communicate. Well we got the call from the AP, that I’m staying with my same comp...in the same area....haha i was a little down about it...especially cuz my comp has gotten super disobedient on me. But when i found out, i was pretty down, but didn´t let it effect me too much. My comps a good kid...well...guy...he’s 25. haha but last night we pillow talked until 1.00 in the morning. (hahah it was hard getting up at 6:30...but i did it...him not so much) haha but he told me his whole conversion story, and after hearing it all i have so much more respect for the guy. He was only a member for a year before he went on a mission. His family doesn´t support him, they tell him to come home each week, yet he knows this is what he needs to do, and this is where God wants him to be. We had a really fun talk last night, and after that...i’m pretty pumped for transfer 3!!! haha its gonna be fun! We got lots of investigators were working with right now...some of them are pretty close to getting in the water to! haha but ill let you know about there baptism after they´ve gotten wet!

Well yep, that’s my week! Its been super fun! haha one thing i forgot to mention is I’m down to my 7 last pesos...and have no food whatsoever in the pencion. haha elder herrell and i have just been living from lunch appointment to lunch appointment cada dia! haha so I’m excited to get paid next week!!!! As for health I’ve only had a cold for the past week and a half...so things are pretty good! haha i can’t complain ;)
