The non eidited life of a missionary - May 20th

Hey Holman family!!

Thank you so much for all of your emails! i loved running to the church at 6:30 in the morning and printing your emails off, they put a big smile on my face!! I can’t believe you bought a bike dad! I’m on a bike right now and i gotta tell you, life’s a little bit better with a handle and two wheels! We´ll for sure go riding together when i get back!! Star and Chance, i love you guys, thanks for your emails, they always make me super happy, congrats to Chance for getting his job! That’s super exciting!!

Well i don’t have a whole lot of time in the cyber today so ill have to be quick and short giving you the highlights of the week. This week we had interviews with president, and he shared with me a really cool story...

After we had started with a prayer, President asked me how i was doing, and how was one of the harder areas of the mission (Chascomus) doing, i began to explain to him that I’m loving it here, that me and my comp truly have been working it super hard and that we can see lots of fruits from our hard work. President paused and smiled at me, and said im so glad to hear that, He then began to explain that the senior or married missionaries that are in the offices of the mission are going to finish their mission in about two weeks, they are in charge of all the finances of the mission, the apartments, and pretty much all the paper work of the mission. He told me that he was looking for a missionary to replace them, and he said that i was at the top of the list out of everyone on the mission. He said that he had made the decision to call me, and the second that he thought about making that decision, his phone started to ring, and he said, "low and behold it was elder Holman calling me" Well we chatted for about 20 minutes and when he hung up the phone he said to himself, Chascomus needs elder Holman there, That branch can’t afford to not have him there!! He then told me how proud he was of me and how he was loving the work i was doing there! It was a super good compliment to me...and also i told him its probably divine revelation from God that i shouldn’t be in the offices, cuz God doesn’t want me doing his finances for the mission!! haha!

In other news i totally dumped my pants this week! Me and my comp were in the middle of pouring rain in the middle of Argentina, right in the middle no where!!! haha my comp told me he had to take a piz and so like a good comp i joined him...my stomach had been killing me all day, and right when i started to go, it struck like the lighting in the sky....i won’t go into information...but i want all my brothers to know that i am officially a missionary and a man....i dumped my pants like crazy! My comp was rolling on the ground with laughter, especially cuz we had plans to go to a members house for dinner that moment!!! haha!

To leave you all with a spiritual thought this week, we found a family that what we say here in Argentina "of 10" We knocked on the door of a lady and to our surprise she said that we could come into her house. Both her and her son listened to us as we taught her about the restoration. Her son Edwardo, had many doubts about God and Christ, he knew the bible pretty well, but he just wasn’t sure if they excised. As a missionary i love getting that question, Does God and Christ really live, because the message of the restoration answers that question with evidence that they live, and that’s the book of Mormon. The book of Mormon is evidence that God does live, and that he does still speak to his children on the earth today. There was such a strong spirit in that room as i testified to him that the heavens are not closed, but that they are open, and that because God loves us the priesthood has been restored and god has called a prophet for our day and age, and i told him that he can know its all true, and receive an answer from God that its true, haha he was shocked, and gladly excepted the invitation to read the book of Mormon, and to pray and ask god if its true and if this is his church!!

Well I’m super super sorry, but i don’t have any more time! my comps freaking out saying we gotta go... haha and we haven’t even used all of out allotted time! He’s driving me kinda crazy! haha come on transfers!! But i want you all to know that i love you and that you are all in my prayers!
