Hola Familia!
It´s been an exciting
week! I hope you had a fantastic Easter Time. They do things quite a bit
different here in España for la Pascua! i also hope that every one tuned
into general conference everyone that i´ve talked to says that it was awesome.
Apparently all of the apostles wrote talks special for Skyler and Landen ;)
jaja.
This week my Piso had
a few problems that we´re trying to get fixed. The water pressure has completely
disappeared in there and so every one of my showers this week has been like a
cold catholic baptism. With a sprinkle sprinkle here and a sprinkle sprinkle
there. Also Sky and Land you might have to call Robert and get me set up
on a monthly schedule because we´ve got roaches! And it has to be monthly. JK i
just killed one so i don´t think that is will be a big deal.
So Easter here in
Spain is pretty weird because it is very catholic. About 80 percent of the
people go out and watch or march in Processions where the people have parades
where they dress up like the KKK men and carry around statues of different
virgins. It´s kind of scary. It´s also really funny when we see some of our
less active members marching in them as well!
For this week Elder
Weenig and I finally found a service project here in la Linea in a comedor. Or
basically a homeless shelter. It´s actually under construction so we´re helping
with doing some of the building. So we did that this past weekend and then on Sunday
morning we got to go and watch the Saturday afternoon session of conference in Gibraltar
with our member Daniel and Estrellita Guy. And they fed us a big beautiful
British breakfast while we watched.
For Family night
tonight I want you guys to read in the bible dictionary about Grace together.
And then read it in conjunction with Matthew 11: 28-30 as well as Ether
12:27. Christ gives us the promise that his Grace is able to help us
overcome any of our challenges in this life if we put our trust in him and are
humble. I invite you all to do so this week. Find something that
you´re having a problem with and turn to Christ in Humility to help you through
it. His Atonement made everything in our lives possible. And living by his
commandment give us more happiness than anything else on this earth. I
love you all very much and can´t wait to read your letters. Hope that you have
a great week and follow the words of the prophets.
