Hey Folks!
Another week, come and gone... Its been a pretty interesting week.
It snowed SO SO much this week... we were stuck in the apartment for 2 days... so kind of boring. But we played a lot of card games with some other missionaries and got a lot of nap time.. oh haha.. also, kinda cool story. We went to go get some pizza at Little Ceasars cuz we had some coupons. It was towards the end of the night and the guy just gave us everything and told us not to tell anyone haha. So we got 8 pizzas, 3 bags of breadsticks, chicken, and Italian bread for free. haha… pretty sweet night.. Not that I need to eat any of that. I'm already ridiculously fat.
Other than that... pretty average week.. Some kind of sad news, our favorite investigator (Y) upped and moved out of no where... she called us and told us she was living in storm lake, which is in the other mission now. We're just so bummed. We got her so close to baptism and she had to move for her husbands work extremely suddenly. We called the missionaries there and told them to start teaching her... she is so ready for baptism...ugh. Kind of disappointing - We really wanted to see it happen but now were not there to ensure that it does. We’ll keep praying for her…
On a good note, R came to church yesterday and really enjoyed it once again, he made a lot of friends too... pretty sure he'll get baptized as long as he lets us come over and meet with him. He's so busy working lately, so we'll see what happens. We tried to stop by this morning, but no dice! He's a cool guy though. Things will work out. He has a baptismal date for Feb 19th, so pray for him.
So this week is Leadership meetings... President has asked us to give another big training. It makes the meeting un-enjoyable cuz you have to worry about training them all.. no biggie.. me and elder Poulsen have an awesome training prepared.. its gonna blow people away. I'll have to do it for family night when I get home!
