Jan. 14th - more investigators then we have time to visit

hey Holman clan,

What be going down up in the states?

Man i feel like i have lost all of my Landen lingo...

haha but no worries, I’m not to sad about that, I’m actually pretty happy, it was another awesome week here in Gutierres Argentina!!! i love my new area my new comp...The apartment we’re living in is a little bit....sad but hey, no worries. We always have lunch in this area with the members and im learning a ton from my new comp, about being a great missionary, teaching with the spirit, and baptizing like crazy!! So this past week was pretty awesome, i was thinking about this yesterday, but in this area we literally have more investigators then we have time to visit them all in the week. It’s incredible. I’ve always had time in my mission where i was looking for investigators, for people to teach, and i have no idea what it is about this area, but the people are different, everyone wants to listen to the missionaries, people come to church when you invite them, miracles happen everyday, and you can see God working in peoples lives changing them for the better, and giving them happiness and direction in there lives because they are willing to submit themselves to his will and follow Christ. It’s incredible. And I’m so happy that i get to be the tool in Gods hands to help these people.  I’m so happy that i have the opportunity each day, hour and minute to be searching and listening for the holy ghost to confirm in my heart exactly what god wants me to tell his children. When we receive our mission calls the brethren state that more happiness then we have ever felt awaits us in the mission field. I feel that this week there were moments that i felt that. I felt happiness like i have never felt it before, i have felt joy like i have never experienced in my life, and the reason i have experienced this is because I’m trying to live my purpose as a missionary. I am each day helping others to come unto Christ, through faith in his atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the holy ghost, and following his example for the rest of their life....what joy feels the most inner parts of my soul when i can truly help someone to do this. Yesterday we had the opportunity to confirm Christian a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We gave him the gift of the holy ghost, all he has to do know if follow Christ, and he will experience just like me, some of the greatest joys that life has to offer.

This past week i had several spiritual experiences where i was edified and taught by the spirit. Time as always won’t permit that i can share them all but i want to share one in particular.
The other day i was talking to a recently converted member of the church. He is happily married has 4 children, a job to provide for his family and is in other words happy, but he shared with me and my comp that things weren’t always this way in his life. He said that he use to be an alcoholic. He drank all day and all night, and couldn’t quite ever stop. His family suffered, his work suffered, and he had absolutely no help and nowhere to turn. He told us that he one day said a prayer to god that he would help him change his life around. Step by step he followed Christ, he fell down in the path more times then you can count but Christ was always there to help him get back up, sometimes it was harder then he could bare, but Christ picked him up in those moments. And now it has been over four years since his last drink. I thought about his experience and it can be applied in each persons life, with what ever there struggle or trial is, whether it is in a problem in a marriage, whether it is problems in the family, whether its a problem with going away to school and being in a different environment, or yes even a problem with an addiction.... We can take our problems to Christ and to God and ask him, even plead with him to change us, to help us in our weakness and to guide us on the straight and narrow path until we one day can overcome the trial or struggle.

Yesterday we helped this recent member of the church see this. As he placed his hands on the head of Christian and confirmed him a member of the church, you could really see how far Christ had taken him...and Christ isn’t finished with him either....he is going to guide him all the way home. Back to that very God that created him, my God and your God.

This is the invitation, to let Christ help you on the path back home. It all begins with having faith in him, that he can help you and guide you in your life and change your weaknesses into strengths. And one day, through the mercy and through the blood of the lamb, we to will be perfected in his ever glorious name.

i will forever be grateful because of this knowledge. Praise to the man that communed with Jehovah, as well because of him, the church of the Christ is back on the earth today, the priesthood restored, and the path is perfectly placed so that we can come unto Christ, and be perfected in him.

Well i gots to run, i had other stories i wanted to share, but i gotta run!! i love you all and I’m always praying for you too! i hope you all have a good week!!! We’ll chat it up next week....awhhh  look at that, the landen lingo is comin’ back!!!! haha peace out my homeskillet redheads!!! word!!!
