OH HEY HOLMAN FAMILY!!!
haha how we all doing!!! It sounds like your all doing super well! Thanks for hitting me up with all your emails! I loved hearing everything that’s going on with the family, especially in this awesome birthday season!! Here´s a special shout out to THE KEV BOT, the MOM-STER (cross between a mom and a gangster) COLY BOY and BABY JADEN!!! I hope you all had (or will have) an awesome birthday!!!

This week was a super Good one for me! I loved it...it actually flew by so fast that i can hardly believe that its Monday again! This past Monday it was super rainy, and as soon as we got back to chascomus after traveling all day we got right to work in the rain!!! haha we walked around the majority of the night, getting rejected from door to door, but at about 8 o clock, or so, we knocked on a house, we were looking for somebody completely different but the second i knocked an older lady saw us out in the rain, and without even asking who we are or what were doing, she told us to come in and sit down at her table. haha i made my way across the smoky room, met her two sons, one that’s 22 and the other 30 and explained that we are missionaries, and that we have traveled long and far to share with them a message of Christ, they all sat down and listened very carefully to our message, after doing some small talk i learned that they had lost a sister and a daughter in there family and that it was something super hard for them, they still felt much pain and wanted answers, where she was at, and why she was taken. They listened very carefully, as the rain came crashing down outside they learned of why they were here and where they were going and where their sister was in this moment. The spirit was strong, and testified to each one of them that our message was true. They all excepted goals to be baptized, and to follow their savior Jesus Christ.
Later in the week on Tuesday we had district meeting by skype with the hermanas! It was really fun. We talked a lot about inviting our investigators to be baptized and helping them to follow Christ. I’m pretty excited cuz I’m pretty sure they finally understand as missionaries we need to invite all to come unto Christ and we can only do that through baptism. This past week in Chascomus over seven people accepted goals to be baptized in October, one of them being an old investigator that i was sure was going to get baptized and in the end decided not to...his name is Ernestor. This past Tuesday we were contacting a couple of references, and i felt an old familiar impression that i haven´t had in a while, to go visit Ernestor. When we went to his house, he opened the door and looked very surprised to see us, when i asked how he was doing, he didn´t respond he just asked if we could come in and talk a bit, as i walked in, i could see that the Bible was open on his table, and other varies spiritual books were there to. A picture of Christ that me and my comp gave him was hung up on the door as well. As we sat down and talked to him, we learned that lots of things were going bad in Ernestos life. He was depressed, jobless, family-less, and suffering with many problems with health. One of them being cancer. He broke down to us asking for help, he explained that he needed help, and that he new that Christ was the one that could give him that, but he wasn´t sure how to get it. As we talked to him, we taught him of baptism and how he can drop all of his trials the pain he holds in his heart at Christ’s feet, and that the way he can do that is by entering into a covenant with him. He accepted the goal to be baptized by the 5th of October. We also testified to him the importance of the Book of Mormon and how it can help him in his life, he promised us he would read it. The spirit was strong in the room, we testified that God sometimes gives us trials in our lives so that we can learn to trust in him, and Ernesto said that he would do just that....
This past Saturday something really exciting happened...Raquel got Baptized!!!!!!!!! It was such a great baptismal service, the spirit was super strong... and somebody else had to be super strong to... ME, she’s a big lady, it was kinda hard to baptize her but i did it, and my first time to!! Haha! Raquel is such an awesome investigator. She has a strong testimony of the truth and of this Gospel. What i love to is that she has a huge desire to learn all about the gospel to, i wouldn’t be surprised if in a year or two she was the Relief Society president. I know that the lord hears the prayers of the members and the missionaries here in the small branch of chascomus, and that he is preparing people to follow his son Jesus Christ. All we have to do is trust in him and know that he will lead and guide us to those searching for truth, and that he truly is building this branch to one day be something much bigger.
I’m so grateful to be a missionary. I want my family and brothers to know that nothing compares to it. Maybe being a missionary is hard sometimes, but i wouldn’t trade this experience for the world. The Greatest gift god can give to a 18,19,20 or 21 year old boy, is the gift of a mission. I have been tried, experienced ups and downs, and have learned for myself the truthfulness of this gospel through serving a mission. My life has purpose and direction now that i truly understand that i am a child of god, and that he loves me and wants the best for me. I know and have learned for myself, the only and true way to happiness in this life is through the lord Jesus Christ. If we strive to have him as the center of our lives i know that God will bless us.
