Hey Family,
Hope you all had an awesome week. I love the pictures and videos that you have sent me. They always make me super happy! You've all changed so much while I've been out here. This past week was super good. It was the Malaga Fair this week and so we had tourists from all over the world coming to check it out. It's far from my area though and we weren't able to go but we met some cool people from different countries and even some from the U.S.
Not to many exciting things happened this past week. It was kind of tough because everyone was going to the fair and a lot of people weren't home but we were able to talk to tons of people in the street and get a ton of references. On Wednesday night at about 9 the APs called and asked us if we could bring food to a training conference for the new Trainers the next day. Haha So we went out running looking for a place that could take our order even though many places were closed for the fair. Finally we found a place and it all worked out. It reminded me of that one book "The Go-Getters." We were going crazy trying to do an almost impossible task. It's a good read. We also had Exchanges this past week from Elders in La Mancha. It was super cool. I got to go with this one Kid Elder Kröff that was in my district when he first got to the mission and we got a call from our mission office telling us that there was a member from the U.S. That was sick in her hotel and wanted a blessing and so we called around the whole world looking for a man to go with us and foto ally found someone and we were able to go and give her one. It was awesome being in That position to serve even though this member was half way around the world from her home. That's the blessings of Christ's Church. No matter where you are it can get to you and you can get to it. While we were walking one day we found an investigator that was looking for us and wanted our help. This guy is crazy haha. Every time he needs help in his life he always finds the Mormon missionaries. He was telling us about all sorts of experiences he had where he needed help from God and then he would see them and talk to them. It was the same this past week. We'd talked to this guy before and he had tried to contact us but we didn't receive his calls and then the next day he ran up to us in a train station and asked us to come over and see him. So crazy miracles happen like that! Haha
So for a little message this week I want to share a general conference talk with you guys. It was really helpful to me when I read it this morning. It's called "Come what may and Love it," by Joseph B. Wirthlin in the October 2008 Conference. He says As we look for humor, seek for the eternal perspective, understand the principle of compensation, and draw near to our Heavenly Father, we can endure hardship and trial. It talks a lot about how we can respond to moments of adversity in our lives in ways that will help us learn and grow and be happier. I invite you to watch or read it however you wish. You can find it on the Gospel Library app. Try it for family home evening. It will have you laughing for sure.
Well I love you family! Hope that you have an awesome week, Come what may and Love it! Thanks for being the best family a kid could ask for and alway being there for me. Love you guys tons.
Con Mucho Amor
Elder Holman
